Salim Babullaoğlu: poet, essayist and translator, he was born in 1972, in Bayramli, Azerbaijan. His first poetry book "Tenha" (Solitude) was published in 1996. His other poetry books are "İlyas Göçmen'in Resim Defteri" (İlyas Göçmen's Drawing Book)(2010) which he wrote after the photo album of Turkish photographers İlyas Göçmen, and "Albaya Kimse Yazmıyor" (Nobody Writes to the Colonel) (2013). He’s the recipient of the first time ever award of poetry or "Golden World National Book Competition" which was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan. His poems are translated to various languages and published as books in Turkey, Poland, Iran, Ukraine and Georgia. Some of his other awards include ARTE (Serbia), Shahriyar Medal of Culture (Iran), Crimson Pen (Krgyzhstan). He was also the finalist for "the European Poet of Freedom" in 2018. He’s currently the prison for the Centre of Azerbaijani Aesthetic, Transcription and Literally Liasions.
